| Project title: | Image Texture Discrimination Using Gaussian Markov Random Fields in The Detection of Malignant Melanomas |
| Supervisors: | Supervisor is Professor Fred Godtliebsen (IMS) and co-supervisor is researcher Vedad Hadziavdic (NST) |
Project description:The PhD project will be part of a larger research project at TTL, which aims to develop software for assisting physicians in the task of detecting malignant melanomas. Suspect skin lesions are photographed by means of a digital camera with a dermatoscope attached, and the resulting digital image is analysed by the software.Such a system will need perform several more or less distinct tasks:
The developed algorithms are to be used for the analysis and follow-up of the evolution of pigmented skin lesions, with the aim of detecting malignant melanomas at an early stage of development. Contact information:Kevin Thon, telephone +47 977 85 755 and e-mail Kevin.Thon@telemed.no | |
