Telemedicine relocated
On October 15, 2004 the Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine held an official opening of its new premises in Tromsø Science Park. The centre had invited staff members, partners and other guests to attend this event, which included a conducted tour of the new location.
The Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine occupies the entire third floor of the Science Park, where the employees work in an open office landscape. The layout allows more secluded work in small group rooms, and there are many small conversation rooms for the times when confidentiality is needed. There are also closed cubicles for employees who want to work in greater privacy at times.
"Our impression so far is that the employees have settled well in this environment. We do not have much experience of open office landscapes, but we are trying to find some ground rules that make it easy for everyone to be here," says the satisfied director of the centre, Steinar Pedersen.
