TELemedicine ANYwhere (TelAny)

Satellite-supported emergency medicine. This project aims to demonstrate medical treatment of patients onboard ships in case of emergency medical situations.

Project description

Contact between boat and doctor onshore is carried out either online or offline.

Online videoconference: Personnel onboard will be connected in video/audio conference to the emergency center in Bergen. The video conference equipment on the boat is mobile.

Offline medical e-mail:Data relative to the emergency will be sent using the DORIS software. DORIS Professional is a software tool used to collect data acquired by the medical sensors and forward the aggregated data to the consulting center for examination.

DORIS Professional is easily integrated with different types of medical equipment like derma scope, electronic stethoscope, video source and digital cameras. The multimedia is combined with the text-oriented clinical information and patient information. DORIS Professional supports several types of file formats, which makes it easier to import patient information from other applications.

Each document has a unique global ID, which makes it easier to follow the document relations in consultations from referrals to answers.
