Smart Home Technology in Norwegian home-based Health and Social Services

A nationwide survey was conducted in 2001. The objective of the survey was to gain an overview of the use and experiences with smart home technology in Norway.

Project description

A nationwide survey was conducted in 2001. The objective of the survey was to gain an overview of the use and experiences with smart home technology in Norway, as well as assess potential benefits of using smart home technology as part of home-based health and social services. The survey focused on end-users as well as caregivers and local authorities. Information was collected around three main issues;

  1. Actors within smart home technology
  2. Projects within smart home technology
  3. Experiences and references to further information. The survey was performed in a collaboration between NST and the Deltacentre, National Centre of Accessibility and Participation, Oslo, Directorate for Health and Social Welfare.
