Forsker: Hege Kristin Andreassen

Hege K. Andreassen, PhD, is working to understand how telemedicine and e-health technologies are integrated and struggled with in everyday health practice. Her research interests comprise both health professional and patient settings.

Biography

Dr Andreassen has a Cand. Polit. degree from the University of Tromsø in 2000, and received a PhD from the University of Tromsø in 2011 under the supervision of the Department of Sociology, Political Science and Community Planning. She has been working at the Norwegian Centre for Integrated Care and Telemedicine since 2000.

Andreassen’s experience includes project management, as well as teaching at under- and post graduate levels (on topics such as medical sociology, research design and methodology, history of science, telemedicine).

Andreassen is currently working as a postdoctoral fellow in the research project “Diffmed: the diffusion of telemedicine and ehealth in Norway: a comparative case study analysis of the successes and failures of applications”. The project is running from 2011-2014.
