Pathways

Patient pathways in cancer patients. What is the better pathway?

Goals:

This is a pilot study which assesses feasability for a larger outcome study of patient pathways in cancer patients. An extensive prospective data collection directly from patients is planned.  Outcomes of the pilot study is the qualitative descriptions of patient pathways. Typology for patient pathways. What constitutes a postively / negatively experienced pathway. Methods: Using event stream analysis for pathways descriptions. Studying responserates, drop-out rates, missing data rates as measures of feasability.

Methods:

Mixed methods. A mix of structured questionnaire data, structured interviews and qualitative data. The idea is to use qualitative data to generate more structured coding for a larger study.
