NST prototype selected as reference application
The international Bluetooth provider connectBlue has chosen one of the Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine's prototypes as a reference application. This prototype enables automatic wireless transmission of data from a blood glucose meter to the parents' mobile telephone. The prototype has been tested among 15 children with type 1 diabetes.
connectBlue AB states that it is a leading Bluetooth provider in the medical, industrial, instrumentation and other sectors. Its head office is in Sweden, and its partners include HP, Ericsson, Compaq, DHL and Axis Communications.
