Newsletter no 1, October 2007: Call for Papers

The Tromsø Telemedicine and eHealth Conference (TTeC) invites you to Tromso, Norway, 9-11 June 2008.

This year’s theme – “Innovation in eHealth” - will focus on the synergic combination of research and innovation in the field of advanced telemedicine and eHealth systems, applications, services, as well as products for chronic, age-related, and lifestyle-related diseases.

The first day of the conference will consist of a moderated discussion, “Innovation Jam”. This will be followed by a two-day scientific conference.

We now invite you to submit papers for oral presentations at the conference. The deadline is 10 December 31 January 2008 and contributions must be submitted in English.

Growing challenges - and possibilities!

Because of dramatic increases in chronic diseases and an aging population, healthcare systems face growing challenges in the years to come – accompanied by higher expectations from informed health consumers and influential patient-interest organisations.

“But a challenge is also an opportunity!
We want you to share your solution with us!”

Main focus for TTec 2008

You can submit papers within the year’s two categories:

  • Research-Based Innovation, revealing solid and ground-breaking research results in eHealth and telemedicine.
  • The Process of Innovation, dedicated to concrete experience including the development of solutions, implementation of daily processes in organizations and well-documented case studies, showing how to establish new businesses and products in health and ICT in a global market.

Formats of submissions

Full papers are subject to peer review and will be published as a supplement to Journal of Telemedicine and Telecare (JTT) after the conference.
