Mobile Telemedicine Units

NST has in collaboration with the North-Norwegian companies Natech AS and Imed looked into development and production of one or several mobile telemedicine units.

Project description

Purpose: Consider the options for development of mobile telemedicine units.

Objective: Consider options for product development of mobile units within different settings. Deliberables will be a report.

Target group: Telemedicine users within different applications. The focus has especially been on maritime and military applications.

The result from the pilot programme was presented in a report that summarized previous experiences with mobile units in Norwegian and international use. Results from the report concluded that there are already companies today that have commercialized products within this field. The pilot programme also focused on company networking.

Funding

The pilot programme is funded by Landsdelsutvalget (LU).

Project period

January 1, 2002 to March 31 2003.
