IBM participation is related to IT infrastructure and to knowhow of healthcare industry world wide. The contribution will be through delivering products (HW and SW) and competence and support related to IBM products and solutions.

The Norwegian Centre for Integrated Care and Telemedicine has, together with its collaborators, developed data collection systems, including current projects for collecting blood glucose measurements.

Issues in providing a suitable environment to the subject include the functioning of the actual measurement system, convenience, and packaging; these issues are interesting bases for research that will be complemented by integration with the IBM data collection system.
