E-Learning

What is e-learning?

People no longer need to be physically present in a classroom to recive training or obtain an education. Videoconferences and e-learning make it possible to follow the lessons over the Internet or at a local location. A professional network on the web can connect the members of a particular medical profession in order to ensure the quality of health services by enabling closer professional links between specialists.

Various concepts of e-learning

E-learning covers many different types of teaching and educational methods. These can be Internet-based forms of teaching, teaching programmes distributed on CD-Rom, videoconferencing and various combinations of these. The combination of net-based learning with other teaching methods is also called flexible learning or "blended learning".

Activities - e-learning projects and programmes

In the following, you will find some examples of e-learning programmes and projects. These programmes have been developed in cooperation between the Norwegian Centre for Integrated Care and Telemedicine and different health professionals.
