Regional Telemedicine Forum (RTF)

2010 The forum is a european meeting ground for clinicians and decision makers in the health services. In the forum they can discuss effective methods for implementing telemedicine in clinical practice. The primary focus will be the chronic diseases COPD, diabetes and cardio-vascular disease.

Interaction through a web-based patient record in wound treatment ‘Ulcer interaction’

2010 The project investigates how much and how health care professionals use new opportunities for interaction, opened by access to a wound (ulcer) patient record and how documentation is shared, with the purpose of optimizing the level of treatment and care.

Collocated Personal Diabetes Data (CPDD)

2009 A research project addressing ways of improving the health of people with diabetes by providing patients and health care personnel information based on collocated data from personal sensors and other relevant data. If we manage to design the CPDD system in a way that is user-friendly, and that provides patients and their health care helpers with useful information regarding diabetes health factors, this may constitute a concrete contribution to Helse Nord’s aim of giving patients the best possible foundation for their treatment.

Net based medication record

Use of mobile SMS in the follow-up care for double diagnosed patients

2003 The study explores the role of ICT (mobile SMS and e-mail) in the follow-up care of eight clients with a double-diagnosis (simultaneously drug abuse and psychiatric diagnosis). The clients could send mobile SMS or e-mails to their contact persons at the section over a 4-month period.
