Health E-Wise / www.HelsE-vett.no

Quality assurance of health related services on the Internet. A website for people using the Internet for health purposes.

Background
There is a plethora of health related web-sites on the Internet. It is, however, our experience that the users/consumers/patients are uncertain of the quality, and need some guidance to improve their ability to consider the quality of the sites. Besides, a lot of providers are eager to make good quality web sites, and are asking for supervision.

The project Health E-Wise
The project has two main objectives:

  1. To make a web-site for users with suggestions and tips that may be useful when analysing online health information and health services. (Some of it translated here)
  2. To make guidelines for providers that might be useful when establishing health related services on the Internet.

Status
The web-site for users was launched 15 November 2001 (http://www.helse-vett.no/).

Project period

August 2000 - September 2002

Contact
