Tromsø Telemedicine and eHealth Conference 2004:
eHealth needs innovators
The development of new solutions in eHealth is entirely dependent on people who can see the potential of new technology. Next, one must manage to realize the potential through a product which fulfils a need. There are few such innovators. Without them, 95 % of new technology dies in a sea of ignorance and scepticism, says Professor Jeremy Wyatt.
Facts about TTeC 2004:The Tromsø Telemedicine and eHealth Conference took place from 21 to 23 June 2004.
It was the fifth time that the Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine in Tromsø organized the conference, which gathered 300 participants from 23 countries for three days in 2004. The theme for the year was the public's participation in the development of eHealth and the challenges faced by researchers, technologists and health professionals in this connection. |
