Driving forces behind telemedicine
The first of the three topics is “Driving forces and terms for technological and organizational changes”. This raises questions like how politics, ethics and the law influence the development of telemedicine. This part of the conference also asks how elderly people accept technology today – and in the future.
Active aging
The second topic is “Active aging and ICT”, concerning the way the demand for personalized care and personalized information about our health is getting stronger. This is a major challenge for society – will the health services be strained to exhaustion trying to meet these demands in the decades to come?
eHealth applications
The third and last topic is “eHealth applications in elder care”, presenting existing and future technology that is meant to improve medical treatment. What kind of applications can be developed to make everyday life easier for the elderly? How can we enable people to live in their own homes longer than today, while staying in touch with the health care system technology?
