Polaria
Knowledge-based adventure centre with themes from the Polar Regions and the Barents Region. Panorama film from Svalbard, polar travel, aquarium with Arctic sea mammals, also live seals and exhibitions on polar research.

Tromsø Botanic Garden
The worlds northernmost botanic garden! The garden cover an area of approx. 4 acres, build as a natural landscape with terraces and slopes, with a small stream and a pond. Fjellheisen/Cable Car
Cable Car up to Storsteinen, (421 metres above sea level) - a fantastic view of the city and district. Restaurant with tables outdoors.

Macks brewery
Welcome to the worlds northernmost brewery. Macks brewery was established by Ludvik Mack in 1877 and is still 100% family owned. The brewery has produced beer since 1877 and soft drinks since 1894.

Tromsø University Museum
North Norway`s largest museum. Wander through the exhibitions and get acquainted with animals and birds from North Norway and the Artic, and learn more about the Northern Lights. Also look at exciting fossils and dinosaurs, minerals and rocks from the north. Extensive exhibition on Sami culture and history from the Iron Age up to the present.Outdoor you can visit a Sami "gamme" (Turf hut). Stone Age exhibition with rock carvings. Replica of a life-size Viking house. Fantastic collection of church art from the 1300s-1800s.

Polar Museum

The Polar Museum is located in the preserved and protected customs building that was built in the 1830s. Situated in picturesque harbour surrondings in the old part of the city.

The Art Museum of Northern Norway
Exhibits North Norwegian pictorial art and handicrafts from about 1850 up to the present. In addition to the permanent collection, there are changing exhibitions of first-class Norwegian and foreign art. Focuses espesially on art connected to North Norway.

Gallery of Contemporary Art
Founded in 1877, and in continuous operation since 1924. Located in the old museum building from 1894, surrounded by the city`s most beatiful park grounds. Exhibits changing modern art.

Arctic Cathedral
A masterpiece of architecture that reflects North Norwegian nature, culture and faith. The cathedral contains one of the largest stained glass windows in Europe.
