About the conference
Growing challenges - and possibilities!
Because of dramatic increases in chronic diseases and an aging population, healthcare systems face growing challenges in the years to come - accompanied by higher expectations from informed health consumers and influential patient-interest organisations.
This year’s theme - ”Innovation in eHealth” - will focus on the synergic combination of research and innovation in the field of advanced telemedicine and eHealth systems, applications, services, as well as products for chronic, age-related, and lifestyle-related diseases.
Main focus for TTec 2008
- Research-Based Innovation, revealing solid and ground-breaking research results in eHealth and telemedicine.
- The Process of Innovation, dedicated to concrete experience including the development of solutions, implementation of daily processes in organizations and well-documented case studies, showing how to establish new businesses and products in health and ICT in a global market.
Contributors and audience
We would like to invite everyone interested in eHealth to the conference. This year's focus on the synergy of research and innovation should have a wide appeal to diverse groups such as researchers, the industry, decision-makers and health personnel in both public and private sectors.
Format
The conference programme will include a full day of a moderated discussion “Innovation Jam”, plenary keynote speeches, parallel sessions with presentations by the authors of accepted papers, workshops, symposia and commercial exhibits.
